What a day for Marie! Wow! The early version of a grenade is fascinating, and it cleaned up greatly. The Anglo-Saxon ring is absolutely stellar, what a great find. Well done, Marie! The slightly magnetic thing I think was an eye from a fishing rod, the spikey bits (Obviously bent out of shape now) are what held it to the fishing rod using silk or some other thread. When you clean it up the whiteish material around that round hole will be plastic or if it's an old one ceramic. 😉.
